Summer Solstice Celebration, Socrates Sculpture Park, Sun., June 21

Community Celebration & Nonprofit Expo, Sat. June 27, 11 AM – 4 PM
Rain or shine. P.S. 111 grounds next to LIC Queens Library, 37-44 21st Street. Dance & music performances, kid’s activities. No charge to attend. Exhibit table space for area nonprofits. Project 1-2-6 is a community development initiative spanning three Long Island City/Astoria zip codes 11101, 11102, and 11106. The Project aims to identify all of the community's needs, priorities, and assets, and plans to work with community leaders on targeted interventions. PS1 Summer Exhibits Open Sunday, June 28

Greenmarket Farmers Market to Re-Open, Sat. July 11
8 AM – 3 PM, 48th Ave. between Vernon Blvd. and 5th Street (one block from Gantry Park waterfront), Saturdays through November.  Featuring locally grown fruits and vegetables.
