NYSERDA Incentives for Contractors
10/07/2010
5 PM - 6:30 PM

Free Seminar on Financial Incentives from NYSERDA
for Energy Saving Retrofits of Commercial Buildings
Thursday, October 7, 5 - 6:30 PM

Packard Square Building community room
41-34 Crescent Street (at Queens Plaza North), LIC, NY 11101

In these challenging economic times, everyone wants to cut costs.  Contractors can get new business by explaining to clients how they can perform energy efficiency retrofits on facilities – subsidized by NYS incentives – which will lower customer's bills permanently and pay for themselves quickly.  Come to a free seminar about the financial incentives, for both contractors and customers, from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and how to access them.  Light refreshments will be served. You and your employees will learn about:

·         ·         the growing market for energy efficiency and green building contracting

·         ·         classes that can lead to certification by the Building Performance Institute

·         ·         how to become a participating NYSERDA contractor, making you and your clients eligible for financial incentives

With increasing electricity, water and heating fuel costs, private demand for green buildings and services is likely to grow, even during a struggling economy.  New incentives from the utility companies and proposed changes in NYC regulations will further increase demand for contractors who are trained and certified in energy efficiency techniques.   RSVP to Indra Smith at 718.786.5300 x 21 or ismith@licbdc.org.
