An exhibition and study center devoted to the contemporary art collection of Emily Fisher Landau. Over 1,000 works by artists including Jasper Johns, Agnes Martin, Robert Rauschenberg, and Kiki Smith. Now open to the public Thursday - Monday, 12 to 5, and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Free admission. Groups welcome.

MMI is the only institution in the U.S devoted to the art, history, and technology of motion pictures, television, and digital media. The exhibition includes over 1,000 historic objects and "thirteen interactive experiences". Full schedule of retrospective film screenings.

The Noguchi Museum displays a comprehensive collection of artwork by world-renowned artist Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988). The permanent collection includes more than 250 works of stone, bronze, and wood sculptures; models for public projects and gardens; elements of dance sets and Noguchi's well-known Akari light sculptures. Housed in thirteen galleries and an outdoor sculpture garden.

Since its founding in 1971, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center has been devoted to contemporary art and artists. P.S.1 is the largest contemporary art center in the world, and it became an affiliate of MoMA in 2000.

SculptureCenter is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting experimentation and excellence in contemporary sculpture. SculptureCenter's program includes solo and group exhibitions, an artist-in-residence program, a resource library, public lectures and workshops, temporary off-site projects and publications. SculptureCenter provides opportunities for local, national, and international artists to produce and exhibit a wide range of work within the context of contemporary sculpture.

Socrates Sculpture Park is the only site in the New York Metropolitan area specifically dedicated to providing artists with opportunities to create and exhibit large-scale work in a unique environment that encourages interaction between artists, artworks and the public. The Park was an abandoned riverside landfill and illegal dumpsite until 1986 when a coalition of artists and community members, under the leadership of artist Mark di Suvero, transformed it into an open studio and exhibition space for artists and a neighborhood park for local residents. Today it is an internationally renowned outdoor museum and artist residency program that also serves as a vital New York City park offering a wide variety of public services. 32-01 Vernon Blvd. at Broadway. The Obie Award-winning Chocolate Factory Theater presents new work in a variety of disciplines including theater, dance, music, multimedia and the visual arts at its 5,000 square foot facility in Long Island City. The work emphasizes multi-disciplinary collaboration - combining movement, music, video and text to devise a means of storytelling that is immediate, collage-like, highly visual, and dependent on new technologies. In addition, The Chocolate Factory produces the Annual Taste of L.I.C. each June working with over 100 local businesses, real estate developers and cultural destinations to market Long Island City as a great place to live, work and visit.
