"The LICBDC Boat Cruise was indeed very exceptional, impressive, and productive for me as a new commercial printer moving to Long Island City. I was introduced to so many neighbors who were helpful and gave me useful, friendly advice regarding my relocation to Hunters Point Avenue where I will be located by the end of this year. The networking event was extremely fruitful to me as I was introduced by Debbie to a couple of potential customers in Long Island City, a new market with tremendous potential which we have never explored in my 15 year career as a commercial printer."

The Corcoran Group was founded in 1973 as New York City began a historic transition from being a market predominately composed of rentals to one of individual ownership. Corcoran targeted specific neighborhoods, concentrating on higher-end properties. With that strategy, and the acquisition of major real estate companies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, they became the largest residential real estate firm in New York City. The firm has 45 offices and almost 2,000 agents in key luxury markets, including the Hamptons, Shelter Island, North Fork and the Palm Beaches. In 2005, Corcoran agents generated $11.9 billion in total sales. Their website attracts over two million visitors per month and produces more sales than any other website in residential real estate.

Using a database acquired from tracking sales for over thirty years, they publish The Corcoran Report, which provides a thorough analysis of market trends by size and types of housing and neighborhoods. Its sales statistics and timely market data long have been recognized as the most accurate and reliable in the industry. Corcoran's reach is extended through the Cendant Mobility Network, the nation's largest real estate referral organization comprised of more than a third of the top 500 brokerages in the United States as well as six global service centers on four continents.
