2004 – Hunters Point Rezoning

Rich in culture and the arts, Hunters Point was rezoned by the city in 2004 to allow for a mix of low-rise residential developments while preserving the vibrant base of manufacturing and industrial companies.

There are currently many small and midsized residential projects under construction in Hunter’s Point neighborhood, which will bring several thousands of new residents to the area in the near future.  Hunters Point is also home to such world class art institutions as the PS1 Contemporary art Center, Sculpture Center, and the Garth Clark Gallery.
